Key Approval for Keppra Offers New Treatment Option for Newly Diagnosed Epilepsy
Patients
Newly diagnosed epilepsy patients in
Europe with partial onset seizures can now benefit from first-line treatment
with Keppra® (levetiracetam). This advance in epilepsy management follows
the approval of Keppra® by the European Commission as monotherapy in the
treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalisation
in patients from 16 years of age with newly diagnosed epilepsy.

soon be free of the pain and discomfort of a needle prick, say scientists
working to find easier, more effective ways for diabetics to take their insulin.
Options being explored include new inhalers, insulin pumps, chewing gum, and

infants against a potentially severe virus as Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. announced
that Health Canada has approved RotaTeq(TM), the first and only vaccine
available in Canada for use in preventing rotavirus gastroenteritis (serotypes
G1, G2, G3, G4 and P1) in infants.
