FDA Approves New Drug Treatment for High Blood Pressure

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today announced the approval of Tekturna (aliskiren) tablets for the treatment of high blood pressure, or hypertension, which affects an estimated 25 percent of Americans and causes increased risk of stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, heart failure and death.

Humira (Adalimumab) Receives FDA Approval For Treatment of Crohn's Disease

Abbott announced today it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval to market HUMIRA(R) (adalimumab) as a treatment for reducing the signs and symptoms and inducing and maintaining clinical remission in adults with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease who have had an inadequate response to conventional therapy.
